Book Review - Physics of the Future by Michio Kaku
I saw this book sitting on the shelf of a quaint little book store, and I was immediately intrigued. Michio Kaku has a reputation as a renowned scientist, and there is no doubt that his expertise backed the idea that this book would provide a window into the future.
Michio Kaku starts off the book by detailing that he interviewed hundreds of the top scientists around the world. After reading this, my faith in the truth of this vision of the future sky rocketed (pun intended).
Without giving too much away, he delivers exempliary assessments of where current technology is and where the brightest minds suspect this technology will evolve to. He breaks this down into three frames of reference: the near future, midcentury and the beginning of next century.
I absolutely recommend this book for lovers of science and science-fiction alike. If nothing else, you can attain that stellar feeling of amazement that is common in a child reading his favorite futuristic comic book.
