Book Review - The Pragmatic Programmer by David Thomas & Andrew Hunt
This book is a must read for any one with aspirations of becoming a skilled programmer. The topics covered offer practical and versatile approaches that will equip you with a perspective to flourish. The content and knowledge is applicable to any language, loading you with tips and tricks for coding, project managament and entering the industry.
With the first edition of this book being a well regarded masterpiece, the authors have come together to release the 20th Anniversary Edition. The primary goal is the same - to deliver the underlying philosophy of what it means to be a 'Pragmatic Programmer'. Although, this new edition has shifted to approach the modern programmer and help them to be a thoughtful, flexible and delightful addition to any team or project.
By no means is this book for just beginners, and this is a must-read for anyone writing or managing software. Not only is this a great resource, but the authors have listed a bountiful list of additional resources that will leave you with no shortage of knowledge to plunge deeper into mastery.
