It Is Possible

One kind of moment I wanted Signal Zero to have was the moment where a room full of theory suddenly has to confront success.

Before that point, people can still treat the work as speculative. Even if the ideas are radical, they remain ideas. This scene crosses that line.

Frenzel is reacting to more than technical progress. He is reacting to confirmation that the model has full control of the bio-Metal, and that the result is alive.

That combination mattered to me because it stacks multiple thresholds together at once:

A controllable material.
A biological integration.
A living outcome.

At that point, the characters are no longer just exploring a strange discovery. They are witnessing proof that the thing they were reaching for can actually exist. And once that happens, the moral and practical consequences open up very quickly.
